It’s nice to see our nice new footpaths coming into their own with this wet weather; you actually don’t need wellies to get round to the Lookout.
Wild Wednesdays has been taking place over the school holidays. This is run by Tame Valley Wetlands on the reserve and has proved to be quite a success, considering the weather hasn’t been kind. I believe they have only had one Wednesday without any rain at all. Last Wednesday Sophie and Daisy Potter found this lovely Roesel’s bush-cricket which they caught in their magnifying pot.

The cattle have now been TB tested and can now be seen out on Jubilee Wetlands. Hopefully, they will keep the growth down close to the electric fence. They did a fantastic job last time.

The Southern Meadow has been opened across our vehicle track allowing the Konik ponies access to the fen area. They were very wary to begin with but you can see from this picture that they are getting adventurous. Hopefully they will graze the area opening up the views.

I was clearing the first part of the bridle path today and found this lovely Robin's pincushion gall on a dog rose. You can't believe that gall wasp larvae live in this pretty dwelling.
