I hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year.  I can't believe how quickly the holiday season comes and goes! One minute it's all panic - "need to get this", "need to do that" - then you blink and it's gone. Still, I do remember enjoying it.  It's a lovely family time.

I was on a First Aid Course last week, which was great fun as well as being educational, back in the office today.

We've had a camera set up in various place round the reserve in the hope of catching an otter in front of the lens but no luck to date. There has been evidence of their presence with spraint and footprints being found but only one or two vague sightings.  We'll keep our fingers crossed that we pick one up on the camera soon.

However, we have picked up foxes, muntjac and the inevitable pheasant.

Ignore the date and time on the above photograph, I messed up the setting.  It was caught sometime between Christmas and the New Year.  I love the colour of his coat!! I'm pretty sure, from one of the pictures, that it is a "he".

One of the photos showed evidence of more than one muntjac present but it wasn't a very good photo.

Don't they blend well with the background!!

Time to move the cameras to a different location and keep fingers crossed.
