For some, the summer holidays have just begun. Hooray!!!
For many, there is one big question to be answered: where do I take the kids (small and big)?
Well, at Middleton Lakes we have, right outside your car door step, the fantastic 'Play Meadow'.
So, what can you find to do in the Play Meadow?
You can...
discover the Den Building Area,
climb the Tangly Tree,
traverse the Stepping Stones through the reeds,
see what can you see from the Mystery Mound,
as well as other things to discover.
So, look out for our new signs dotted around the meadow.
Throughout the school holidays we are running our Wild Wednesdays on, wait for it, Wednesdays. Come on down and take part in activities including den building, pond dipping, bug hunts and more. There will be lots of creating, painting, sticking, picking, making and taking home with you! For more information click here.
And, after ALL that, you can then go exploring the wonders of the rest of the reserve. Look for grass snakes basking in the grass, kestrels hovering over your heads, dragonflies dancing over the pools and butterflies fluttering over wonderful displays of flowers.
