Well we have had the hot weather and the rain has now come as well but there is plenty of wildlife still around the reserve. Here is the recent sightings list
Media Hide- Marsh Harrier, reed bunting, reed warbler, sedge warbler, green sandpiper, heron, sand martin, merlin and tawny owl
Woodland- Pair of Spotted flycatcher with 4 juveniles and a pair of wood warbler with 3 juveniles, jay
Visitor Centre- yellowhammer, lesser redpoll, greenfinch, chaffinch, goldfinch, blackbird, siskin
Saltmarsh- house martin, swallow, skylark, grasshopper warbler, peregrine
We also have plenty of other animals around including natterjack toads, red admiral butterfly, ringlet butterfly, common blue butterfly, small tortoiseshell butterfly, small copper butterfly, six spot burnet moth, cinnabar moth, emerald damselfly, golden ringed dragonfly, common hawker, roe deer, badger and brown hare
