Hi RSPB Mersehead community,
 
We were stunned to see a male merlin on the reserve on Sunday, and then again when a female showed a couple of hours later. Fortunately the optics team from Lochwinnoch had just the right kit to get great views of both. Thanks to Barry Jackson for letting us use the photograph below, aren't the colours amazing?

There was a lovely sunset tonight, made even better by a stoat scampering past the windows of the visitor centre! What have you been lucky enough to see when you've been in the right place at the right time?
