Thanks to the volunteer who spotted a drake Garganey at 7a.m. this morning and was rewarded by 31 Sandmartins passing through, 7 Linnets, a Wren, a Chiffchaff, singing Willow Warbler and Skylarks.
A female Merlin on the saltmarsh was considering breakfast. She had plenty to choose from - about 7000 Knot on the mudflats!
