Yesterday was quiet aside from Avocet activity but one lucky visitor saw a hummingbird hawk moth at Junction Pool in the early afternoon and burnet moths  at the back of Sandgrounders. Two small moths - Pyrausta aurata and a small magpie visited the inside of the hide. Heat haze made viewing Polly's Pool difficult but a curlew-sandpiper was still present along with a Little Stint and 15 Dunlin.

Today, the Little Stint was still on Polly's Pool this evening with 9 dunlin, 36 Black-Tailed Godwits and a pair of Gadwall. Two broods of three avocet chicks were visible from Sandgrounder's Hide and a few Lapwing chicks. Also on Sutton's Marsh there were  4 Linnets, 2 Sedge Warblers, 2 Whitethroat, 2 Pied Wagtails with 2 young, 3 Meadow Pipits and a male Reed Bunting.
