(A preview of my poster summerising my time here.)

Hello Blogland for one last time from Loch of Strathbeg!

I'm leaving the Grampian Reserves team to return back to the south coast.

My last day was nice and the weekly hide checks gave me a good opportunity to see the whole reserve for one last time.

And then a final look at the Starnafin 2012 Kitchen Window List which is currently on 68. The Greater Warburton (34) and No-tailed Halfwit (35) may take a bit of time before they are properly accepted by the wider birding world. Equally, I would like to point out that the Pony that was crossed off was so because it turned out to be a large boulder...

After that a quick bit of tree removal from near the Visitor Centre and then back to the house for a bit of cake but not just any cake...

This is a cake made into the shape of the Greater Yellowlegs that graced the Loch of Strathbeg reserve on 2 memerable occasions. This is thanks to Emma and it really does taste as good as it looks!

After that I then showed off my creation which was a compilation of Hidden Strathbeg videos that I put to music and may be making its way on the Facebook page at some point.

I'm all packed up now and realising just how much stuff I didn't need!

A massive thanks to the whole Grampian Reserves team and I hope they have great future up here. I've learnt a lot and had a wonderful experience and learned lots of things that will defiunately be of benefit to my future career in this field.

Bye for now, Tom.
