A good week here with the Greater Yellowlegs hanging around here until Sunday but as has so often been proven with this bird, it can still come back.
Red-A, our favourite White-tailed Eagle, is still here and I’m watching very keenly to see if he has a favourite post for bugging purposes!
Other than that, a visitor did report that the 2 Buff-breasted Sandpipers were still here today. There are many Ruff here, 6 or 7 on the Low Ground and Lapwing are around too.
For all fans of escapee wildfowl the Bar-headed Goose has been replaced by 2 Black Swans which are the 1st since 2002.
Whooper Swans are again back in big numbers and this afternoon many were using the pools on the Low Ground and making plenty of noise!
Goose numbers on the Low Ground or Low 60’s have varied but judging by the amount that have been on the beach recently there are still LOTS here. They are beginning to use the pools in front of the Visitor Centre.
The Stonechat that has been hanging around Starnafin keeps popping up now and again.
That's about it for this week!
Great photo of RedA !

might be worth checking with the guys at St Fergus terminal - there were a couple of black swans nesting on their fire pond some years back!
