So much for my plans to get out the office today! Don't you just hate computers - well I shall blame the laptop not the operator anyway!
I had intended to get all my grazing lets sorted out for this season. This is suposed to be a really simple process. You fill out the blank form giving start and end dates for tghe grazing, put in any conditions such as no additional feeding etc, produce a map and send it off to my land agent to produce the final legal version that gets sent out to each of our grazers. It was all going well until I came to produce the maps and the areas for each let. The maps and areas all come from the mapping programme that I have on my PC.
It started off OK, I produced a map for each let and then started to check the areas. The only conclusion I can come to is that the hamsters that power my laptop must have got fed up with the long cold winter and decided to play up as everytime I tried to do this I seemed to end up deleting the map! Three hours latter with the air in the office blue (and not from extreme cold this time!) I managed to complete the task and get them sent off. You would have thought that I would have realised that I kept pressing the wrong button and learnt from my first couple of attempts but not me!
Having finally got them finished it was time to pick up the kids so I have no idea what if anything was out and about on site!
