A big thank you to everyone who came to the Craft Fair on Saturday. We had 14 stalls selling everything from paintings to jewellery to flowers, several of the stalls holders did very well and with a combination of donations, pin badges and sales of cakes (thanks to Rosalyn at Let Them Eat Cake for donating the cupcakes) and biscuits, we raised over £150 for the RSPB.
We had a busy day on Sunday too, with a couple of groups from Lancashire and Nottingham both coming up to try and see the Greater Yellowlegs. It tried very hard to hide for much of the day, but reappeared in the evening and hopefully everyone who waited around managed to see it. Red A was still at the South End of the loch on Sunday as well.
Sunday also saw another addition to our year list and a nice sign of spring with our first Sand Martins hunting over the low ground, we've also had another sighting reported of a Garganey, the only one of our ducks to fly south for the winter, on the low ground this afternoon.
