As part of our ongoing visitor centre refurbishment, our cafe will be closed completely from today (Monday 13 Feb) until Friday 17 Feb. We aim to reopen in our newly refurbished space this Saturday (18th Feb).
Works are progressing well, Dougie & team in the cafe are going to benefit from a much larger preparation & kitchen area when they move back upstairs, which means that you will benefit from a shorter wait and more food made here on the premises. More of Lynn's scones surely can't be a bad thing!
While the finishing touches are put to the cafe, attention shifts to the shop this week. Colin & co have been busy this morning moving their stock from the shop over into the education room, where they will operate from for the next couple of weeks. The shop fitters arrive this week to put in new units, move the counter, put in an additional till point and smarten us up with new flooring and a paint job. We will still be able to sell you birdfood & binoculars throughout, so do still come and visit us!
We do aim to have the cafe up & running again on Saturday, so keep reading the blog for the latest news.
If you're looking for something to do with the kids during half term then why not come along to our 'Build a Bird a Home' event on Saturday, part of National Nest Box Week. Booking is essential, so please check our events pages for more details. Hopefully see you there!
