Ahah, mobbing an osprey?!? But they are so tiny... oystercatchers, I mean, compared to ospreys.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
I also wondered why at the time Clare. It must have seen the osprey as a threat for some reason. Quite a few birds mob birds of prey so it must be an instinctive reaction.

If this is still open for guessing, I have a feeling young Odin may well turn up tomorrow, 27th March at 1.32 pm, with a fish, of course.
I think Odin may be late, as husband-birds might pay more attention to the weather than their paternal urges! I predict he'll arrive just as I fly (..anair) to Spain on 5 April, thus crossing mid-way!!!! (I'll look out for him in mid-flight).

Just repeating the original post. and remind people that guesses for Odin's return go on until the end of March.
