Oh my, another week. How many rosettes did Tweed win at the agility contest? Check Patriciat's late post on last week's blog to find out! Congratulations Tweed and Patriciat!
Sassy has been taken to rehab. They shut the webcam down while she was being removed. Phoebe is still fussing round the nest.
dibnlib, I have done exactly what you did. ie reducing and enlarging the size of my text. All I have solved is that I touch something on the track pad on my laptop ( I use a wireless mouse- not track pad) and this, together with the next letter I press causes the zoom level to alter the text size. If it happens again, just check zoom level and adjust back to 100%. I guess it is the same as Ctrl/ b for bold lettering but haven't worked out the combination yet and why/ where I hit the track pad. Hope this makes sense !!
Hello, my name's Terry and I'm an internet addict...
That was quick wasn't it? Computer back home, put all the leads in the right places, turned on and I have sound!! Went to check on Phoebe and as Alan says, Sassy's gone away to grow her feathers. She should have left home a week ago but no feathers so can't fly. She (or he) must know that or she would have tried I suppose, clever thing. It would be hard work for Phoebe to keep feeding her.
So it didn't take long for me to catch up on all the gossip, maybe that's because you were all having trouble getting on ;)). Lindybird, I think Buzz's ears look really big when they're flapping up like that, he obviously is having great fun. Hope Hamish is feeling good to be back home, Alan, and you are tending to his every need. Gary, I think Rio looks like a dog aiming to please/ingratiate himself with you, what a sweetie.
Amazing New York in the snow pics, Tiger, never seen it looking like that, great view. Auntie, I think your sister's dog is looking as if to say "oh no, she's taking another picture of us".
I missed a couple of evenings this week so I have only had 6 pieces of my birthday choc orange so far, and there is still one piece of the choc cake which I always make myself (I have to make OH a plain one at the same time as he doesn't like chocolate, weird no?)

And then it was gone. Lots of buzzing flies and some hummingbirds at Buenaventura webcam in the forest.
Hi everyone.TerryM: Glad you got your computer fixed. Alan: Thanks for the peregrine cam link.Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Good evening all – busy afternoon on here!
Auntie – “up to minus 7” !!! Pleased you saw sunshine today – it does make a big difference, and as you say, the promise of spring ….
DjoanS – not exactly counting your lunches, but aware of folk eating out because of all the comments on my carrot cake outings!! We make sure we eat out from time to time – and I have to say it is always good to enjoy other people’s cooking. Hope your blood pressure check tomorrow is more satisfactory – mine “yo-yo’s” like crazy even with medication!
Heron – another Siskin – it’s not fair!! Thanks for sharing his photo. I always hate the idea of ironing, then really enjoy the actual thing, when the creases come out before my eyes – just can’t do great piles of it because of standing too long, and weak wrists.
Annette – I hope that all the weeds’ roots came out easily for you, and you enjoyed some peace at the rose garden.
Alan – pleased action has been taken over Sassy – better for Phoebe not to be feeding that huge featherless apology for a chick – doubt Sassy will actually survive.
Terry – welcome back – that was quick! Hope your computer is fully back to health – and stays that way!! Didn’t realise the choc orange was for your birthday – assumed it was for Valentine’s! So very belated happy birthday – hope it was a good one!!!
Had nice grey blind (as chosen) fitted in ensuite during daylight. Put lights on this evening and it is green! Room is grey and red!! Left message for fitter, but don’t know what can be done as it was the only plain grey they have, and there are no matching red ones. Very disappointed – it will have to go – would prefer to refit the old pink one!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Thanks OG, valentine=birthday, and it always annoys me how many people go out for a meal ON MY BIRTHDAY!! when I want a nice quiet dinner for two. Don't think I said.
We had a pair of siskins yesterday, or so OH told me when I got home...
PATRICIAT Great photo of Tweed and good news about your sister. You must be relieved.
LINDYBIRD Enjoyed our pancakes with lemon juice. I always let my batter stand for a few hours.Like you I don't dare toss but OH will. Liked the photo of a wet Buzz. All our dogs have loved the water and Harvey in particular was a very strong swimmer. He could swim against the Spey when it was fast flowing (scared the life out of us) he also liked to collect stones from the river and we used to joke that his aim in life was to empty the Spey of all its stones. He would put his head down and not surface till he had got the particular stone he wanted ( another mission in life was obviously to frighten us witless.) On one occasion at Glen Trool he surfaced with a boulder so heavy I could scarcely lift it with both hands !!!! Off to bed now Goodnight all
If Heron has Siskins in Strathkelvin, and Terry has Siskins in Cumbria - why haven't I got Siskins in Annan this year?!?!
