Thanks for the response, MIKE. My internet started playing up last night, it's probably a combination of flaky stream and poor connection :-(
IMAGICAT
I do understand that a migrant bird would be glad of a free meal or two, but if that is all they want, why don't they then follow the male to see where he fishes and then fish for themselves, without all the hassle of his attempted matings. This female clearly doesn't want to mate with Monty.
Is there a better response from FS this time?

And from the point of view of these birds, it must be a great help to get some food during their migration (if they are still migrating). I keep thinking of Cally coming back from Spain at one point and being exhausted after days without food and rest... thank you Monty for being so kind with them. :-) I already said it relieves the monotony for him, and I agree about the respite and refreshment he provides for needy returners :-) [/quote] ooops, sorry, I must have missed that! I've been out most of the time in the last few days, but I tried to read all the posts... anyway, I'm glad we agree :-) Tiger's Osprey News

News from Dyfi!!!
11:15 Breaking News - Monty's new girlfriend, Blue FS, is almost three yeas old.
She was ringed as a chick near Dores, Loch Ness, Scotland on 14th July, 2010. This is great news for Monty as she is unlikely to have bred before. She is also the exact same age as Nora was in 2011 when she bred with Monty for the first time. Fingers crossed this one stays.
A huge thanks you to Roy Dennis is Scotland for getting back to us so quickly with the ringing information.

lol :D
and she should be used to awful weather!
We could call her 'Nessy' :-)
EDIT: or 'Messy'?
I think Dyfi may take more time before they name this one and just keep to Blue FS
......but Nessy does seem apt
