Ah Bassenthwaite. Now that all depends on where the birds nest :) Never been a good view when I have been there in the past, much too far away, though I have seen them flying (in the distance). Best view...if they nest in the right place...is the monitor in the VC at Whinlatter.

a "not so small bird" was flying past... somewhere in the background at the Dyfi-cam... some minutes ago... but hey, Alex, keep cool, not every "not-so-small-bird" is an osprey :-)
looked too white for an osprey... I think... or not?
woooooohoooooooo Ospreyitis on its way...
Cats and women will do as they please. Dogs and men should relax and get used to it.
Thanks again Chloe for that tip, about Whinlatter. I am hopeless at distances too, most say the LotL nest is further away than LG, but I think the opposite LOL...

About how many minutes ago ALEX (prior to your post)? Was it against the sky or the land? I might be able to find it.

Edit - I see you've just done that - and now I can't delete my post!
Thank you ALEX. No luck yet but I'll narrow it down to 10 minutes and try again :-)
