Tina, the 'old' Rutland site which details the translocation project etc is still 'up' and has a wealth of information which you may find useful

  • It's a fantastic blog by Emyr (especially Elin's fat legs!). I wonder - given their theories about her age and possible Scottish origin - whether it is just possible that Elin could even be the 3 year old offspring of EJ & Odin at Loch Garten, given that the 2010 chicks weren't ringed? Especially given her good looks! I suppose we'll never know.

Chocoholix shiny new 2018 Interactive Osprey & Chick Chart! (with clickable links!)

  • Fantastic blog and very interesting.

Not sure what to think about that suggestion Chocoholix!  Would be interesting, as long has she hasn't inherited her mothers tendencies...

Out of interest though - I suppose there are id photos of those chicks somewhere?

    See what I can do.

  • Sorry for delay, gardening and popping in and out to check updates.  Thanks again Mike.

    Here you are.

  • Thanks Tiger.  What an interesting thread.  To my unpractised eye, none of these three look particularly like Elin, were they sexed?  and again out of interest, why were they not ringed that particular year?
