Just set up video and caught Monty arriving - beavering away noisily - except it's frozen now :-(
EDIT:
Monty arriving @ 0629hr:
Monty flew off at about 0643hr.
IMAGICAT
He's back. He was nestorising but now he's standing on the far edge of the nest, looking out eagerly :-)
He went and he's back again, just looking around at the moment. I didn't see him land - he's just left.
No Nora as yet, dosent look as though she will arrive this year, dont want to think why, feel for Monty, his determination is amazing , Bless.

Tiger's Osprey News
Thank you Chloe. Great Blog and typical of Ems.
Birdies LG DU update.
Thank you ChloeB, lovely blog about Nora and Elin, This may seem a silly question, it was mentioned that Elin was probably not a breeding female on her way to Scotland, my understanding was the Ospreys came back to try and find a nest/mate and to breed if they are lucky?! obviously can take years in some cases. There is so much to learn about these birds.
Tina, age is a factor. At one time it was thought that Ospreys did not breed until they were four years old. Tracking and Darvic ringing have disproved that theory but as Ems says in his Blog it is possible that a pair may bond but not breed and hopefully return the following year in order to do so. In Elin's case there are no rings of any sort so I suspect she is a young bird who may not be ready to breed. I hope she proves me wrong!.

Have you ever heard of "Achilles and the Tortoise?"
Well ospreys are a bit like that. As soon as you think you have caught up....the tortoise has moved on. :)
