We tried to look for the Abberton osprey yesterday but it didn't appear for us.  We now know, though, that there's a reserve there where we did see, among other things, a kestrel and a marsh harrier - the staff regularly see the osprey and they think it's about two years old.

Hi Clare, Sorry you did not manage to see the osprey at Abberton. I have seen a few distant pics of the bird and it looks as though it is not ringed. Probably a young non breeding bird as the staff said.
