  • Hi,

We had 3 Ospreys passing through Mortagne sur Gironde, Charente Maritime this morning. There was 1 female & a bit later a male & female. (Thats if our sexing is right). I got some photos although they weren't great. We had some lovely views as they were chased off by black kites (nesting nearby),Shellducks & a big gull.

    Best wishes

Yay!  The first Suffolk one!  That must have caused some excitement.

Noisette, great photos.  Thanks for sharing them.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

  • Noisette :  Thanks for the lovely pics. Possibly UK birds. Could not see any rings though.

Certainly 2 of them weren't ringed but the female that was flying with a prey (not sure what it was) only perched once a long way off & we couldn't check her out.
