Rutland Osprey Team off to Africa next week
Snow drifts and a cold wind.
Daunting, ALAN, but thank you :-(

Mrs 5R just landed back on nest - looks very cold as she faces away from us into the wind.
Edit - a few rays of sunshine as she looks round for her mate
Tiger and Chloe's Osprey Info
She does look lonely Birdsong. I hope 5R gets back soon.
LINK to a small clip of the Osprey Concert at Rutland. There will be an updated blog about the Concert soon, also heard a little whisper that they are to produce a DVD in due course too.

Looks like Mrs5R has got herself a fish - she is on the nest now.
I think she is now tucking into her fish. Each time I looked she seem to bracing herself against the wind, but now it looks as though she is eating - back towards us, facing the wind. The sun keeps popping out briefly too, lucky girl!

She's been on the nest for hours now, feel a bit sorry for her, hope 5R arrives soon.

The weather there looks awful :-( There's some lovely drawings again from John Wright; my favourite is 03(97) scraping snow out of his nest!
