Hi everyone. Happy Sunday! As usual, check out the last few entries of the previous week's chat to find out who left a plant at the supermarket checkout counter and ate a bag of chocolate donuts for lunch.
Brought Oro for home visit today; was lovely and sunny and daughter sat in the garden feeding him treats. He had a little snooze and then while my daughter took a nap Oro and I went to the beach and walked along the grassy area behind the sand for about a mile or so. (No trash cans to crash into!) Marvellous afternoon with brisk breeze and big surf, but now they're forecasting more rain for Monday through Wednesday!
Hi everyone.Lindybird: The idea of a haggis wearing a kilt is hillarious. It reminds me of a time a few years ago when my father and I were in a pub in Glasgow one afternoon. We spotted the item haggis, tatties, and neeps, on a menu. This bore the description: "freshly caught local haggis..." Annette: Hope everything goes well with your daughter's second follow up appointment with the doc.HilaryH/Maureen: I'm absolutely certain you're correct about sleekit meaning sly.Stay safe everyone.
Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Maureen: Now you come to mention it I also thought sleekit meant sly but in this definition it can also mean sleek:

Happy Burns Night, everyone. Really loved the poem, Alan!
Further update from Dunedin ospreys:
1/25/10, 2:30pm - The wind is really strong and it has been blowing hard for quite awhile now. I can see her wings being lifted up from around her body. Winds are NW at 22mph. It is 66 degrees and sunny. BW
Had problem getting on the site just now - a page full of rubbish. Had to go in through RSPB e-mail notification of message on my page again (am keeping one notification current in my e-mail folder so I don't have to go looking for it when the site plays up).
Alan: Thanks for the sad news about Phoebe's chick. :-( Weather has been brutal - cold and windy and wet.
Hi Heather: You get bold one of two ways: you can hit Control and B (for Bold) - then type my name, for example, then hit Control and B to unbold text again. Or you can type everyone's names, which is what I do, then go back over the text, select the word you want to have in Bold, and then hit Control and B. You can also use Control and I for italics, and Control and U for underline. Good luck.
Daughter has just mentioned she's going to miss maid service at home, but seems happier with the prospect of being in her own space. Take care all.

Thanks Alicat. The weather has not been good at the hummer nest but they dont really know why the chick died. It is just natures way.
Good morning. Australia Day. Not that it makes much difference in this house – meals still required so no holiday for the cook! I’ve had trouble getting on the site and I used Annette’s route.
Annette – My fridge has 2 doors, one above the other. The top one is the fridge, the lower one opens to a 2-drawer & 1-shelf freezer. I prefer this arrangement (rather than the freezer on top) because I go to the freezer less often, thus less bending. As for raw meals – if I am cooking in oven & on top of stove at same time, I have to watch when I open oven door as one of the top burners is likely to blow out. The other night I didn’t notice and we had al dente vegetables . . . again. I can understand your daughter wanting to go home to her own place. Being maided is fine for a while.
Diane – I was very interested in your story of Indiana early days. Our ancestors were incredible. I doubt I would have survived as a pioneer.
Lindybird – Yes, I noticed the convict data news. It doesn’t affect my family history. South Australia is the only state not settled by convicts. Although some arrived here after their term expired. It doesn’t mean the settlers weren’t law-abiding of course. LOL
at least phoebe and sassy is still ok so its not all sad and like you said its natures way
