Hi Alan
The Osprey was still at Warnham Nature Reserve, Sussex this morning, we got some good views as it sat across the lake from the reserve and as it fished until it was mobbed so much it went elswhere. Couple of poor pics below.

Hi
Just got back from Warnham where i was lucky enough to see the Osprey again, as with my first posting today done on my phone when it first arrived I was not sure if it was the same bird. It took off again to check the pond out for fish and didnt seem to bothered by all the gulls in the air around it, the sky was a dirty grey with a northerly wind and the water surface was quite choppy so fishing was not going to be easy. The Osprey eventually headed south at around 11.10 having arrived at around 10.45, I did think it had returned at around 12.00 but I was note sure as there were so many gulls in the air I lost sight of what I thought was the Osprey.
Anyway as I promised earlier here are a couple of poor shots of the bird and in one you can clearly see the nick in the second primary of the left wing.
Great shots Shane and thank you for sharing them, you were so lucky to see the Osprey again. Like you say the photo is confirmation that it is the same Osprey.

Thanks for your confirmation Shane. Super photographs.
I saw a bird of prey, not sure what it was. It was flying in an easterly direction over my garden in Kent, near Canterbury. It was being mobbed by crows! What was noticeable about it was it had a white or very pale body and under wings. It was very unusual. Ithought it was a marsh harrier at first but now am sure it was not having seen three of those at Stodmarsh at the weekend. Im not that far from Stodmarsh. Could it have been an osprey? Kent not too far from sussex. Felt too embarassedto mention it before as it seemed highly unlikely.
Willow have you checked Osprey Sightings to see if anything ties in with your sighting, you never know. Will be going to check it now.
Thank you SHANE, your photos are great! :-)

Hi Willow - I do remember Alan Petrie reporting a sighting of an osprey at Grove Ferry & at Stodmarsh too because I was wanting to go there (as I am not too far away) but couldn't because of other commitments - will look at ospreys sightings thread.

Thanks all for your kind comments, not brilliant photos but at least they confirmed it was the same bird still not having moved for so long.
