This Topic has been set up to follow the Autumn 2012 migration and wintering of satellite tracked ospreys, other than Caledonia and Alba from Loch Garten, who are followed on this thread, Tracking Caledonia & Alba
This topic replaces Satellite Tracked Ospreys (non-LG) Mar-Aug 2012
N.B. There are still some missing details (and possibly birds) which I will add once the information becomes available.
Thanks Alan found that report very interesting.

Thank you Alan, as Mary says a very interesting report from Rob Bierregaard. Ouch, poor Clutch. I often wonder how many birds get tangled in debris or netting hidden beneath the surface.

Thanks Alan and hope one makes it back to four yrs. I know Hellgate Mercury in the water could cut an Ospreys life short and look forward to the lab results evenually?
Sheila Baling twine is a terrible hazzard on nests. Ospreys seem to like lining their nests with it and they get tangled and for the very fortunate few they are rescued if they are lucky.
B&B There is a report from the Dunrovin site about Ozzy and Harriets egg, and others unhatched along that stretch on FB. The result inconclusive, nothing stands out regarding pollution from Mercury or anything else. Other factors could be the answer... eg temp' and parental care. I did always see someone sitting when I looked in on them.
No results announced yet on Hellgate, they ask for patience, as they have lots of work to do and will let everyone know as soon as they can.
Thanks Alan for the report, I have seen pics somewhere of the osprey which was impaled and body recovered, while ago, wish I could remember where!

BlueYD looks to be roosting in a wooded area.
