This Topic has been set up to follow the Autumn 2012 migration and wintering of satellite tracked ospreys, other than Caledonia and Alba from Loch Garten, who are followed on this thread, Tracking Caledonia & Alba
This topic replaces Satellite Tracked Ospreys (non-LG) Mar-Aug 2012
N.B. There are still some missing details (and possibly birds) which I will add once the information becomes available.
Mirja sucessfully returned and was the youngest of 3 nestlings:

Now that all the ESTLAT ospreys are at their wintering grounds apart from Ilze who may have a problem in Italy, it is amazing to note the different areas they all have gone to right across Africa:
Erika in Sudan near the border with Ethiopia.
Piret in South Sudan near the White Nile.
Eriks in Gabon near the Ndogo Lagoon.
Ilmar in coastal Angola not far from the border with Namibia.
Yes indeed Alan. Interesting to see the difference between genders in their choices. Makes me wonder where Ilze will end up, if her problems are not terminal ones that is.
