This Topic has been set up to follow the Autumn 2012 migration and wintering of satellite tracked ospreys, other than Caledonia and Alba from Loch Garten, who are followed on this thread, Tracking Caledonia & Alba
This topic replaces Satellite Tracked Ospreys (non-LG) Mar-Aug 2012
N.B. There are still some missing details (and possibly birds) which I will add once the information becomes available.
While we're waiting for the LG update, Lucky 13 is in Spain, approaching Valencia.
On Aug 31st he flew from Paris down to near the Spanish border.
On Sep 1st he crossed into Spain and took a break for 3 hours on the Ebro delta before continuing south down the coast.
ESTLAT osprey Eriks has left on migration:
God speed Eriks - fair winds, dry days, and LOTS of fish en route
Update (and here) from Roy Dennis on Morven:
Morven has nearly made it home! Morven was satellite-tagged as an adult in 2008, at the same time as Beatrice. Unfortunately her radio doesn't work properly so we only pick up very intermittent signals from her. However, some data has just come in showing that she was in Spain on 1st Sept and Morocco on the 2nd, so is well on her way to her wintering grounds in Mauritania!
We satellite tagged Morven's chick, Stan, this summer - more details of him to follow soon.

Thank for your informative post and links SHEILA
Update from the Estonia/Latvia tracking - Erika (cerise) and Piret (pale pink) are now both in the same area of the Nile delta.
It was known from previous tracking that Erika takes a stopover there on every migration, but now it appears that Piret uses it too.
Must be good fishing. Thank you SUE
Kawartha Lakes osprey 54706 has reached Cuba:
Ilze is having a stopover at Hortobagyi National Park in Hungary:
