This is a celebration of life, for all of your fond memories - whether 'missing in action' or otherwise. I'm starting this off with my very special favorite, little 'Bravery' (chick 3 LG nest 2012).
Here he is, deciding to abandon nestoration to take a good look at his domain.......
In fond memory of 09(98), who was presumed predated in Oct 2012 as he prepared to cross the Sahara.
I hope it's OK to use this 'photo from Rutland Water's site. I have put the copyright details.
mims thank you and a very sad loss. RIP 09
Lovely thought and one of his last few captures before he set off. Feel very sad that such a magnificent bird ended his life in that hostile place.
In memory of dear, confident Alba with her day away on fledging; her text book and speedy migration and finding the "good life" for too brief a while
Thanks Patily, these wonderful young birds are cut off from life all too soon. :'(

Heartbreaking to look at this now - I was so sure she would be a survivor but we dont know the dangers they encounter. Praying that the rest of the young ospreys remain safe and return but sadly so much stacked against them.
Patily Thankyou so much for the beautiful 'photo of Alba. Tempo Yes, it is heartbreaking. I will be back at some point with something for Alba but right now cannot bear to go through my footage. Thankyou to those of you who posted in memory of our dear Alba.
In memory of dear Alba, who appears to have died, around the 20th/23rd October 2012. The news was a sudden shock as Alba was settled in an area around the Senegalese coast and her transmitter signals indicated she was in a good routine, A 'feisty' young girl, Alba demonstrated her keen survival instinct early on. We grew to love her. I never thought I would be posting about her on this thread.
This video (no sound) shows Alba in her happiest moments, doing something she enjoyed the most - eating.
Bless your fighting spirit, dear Alba. Rest in Peace.
Alba
Patily thank you for posting Alba. Such a shock.
RIP dear Alba x
Mims thank you for your lovely poignant post for Alba and for the Video too, heartbreaking to think about her now. She certainly could eat couldn't she.
