Summary of Satellite Tracked Ospreys - 2012/13 - 'Where are they now?'

Updates for Alba, Caledonia, Blue 44 and Blue YD.

We are now following 12 osprey, including Morven who has the faulty transmitter. The others are shown in grey on the spreadsheet.

  Lol Mary; confession time - I DO:-))) If I've learned anything in my first year, it's that our ospreys are unpredictable! So I like to imagine Caledonia swooping down into the water at night, when there are not too many people around :-0

I always thought that Caledonia would go straight to Africa, as she tended to wander much further than Alba following fledging. The opposite turned out to be the case.

No news of Stan?

The last report on Stan places him on Santo Antao on the 25-26th Sep, there are 11 fixes for him on this island, that is the last we heard.

Updates for Blue 44, who is now roosting at the Etang d'Hardy, just north of Etang Blanc and Blue YD, at same roost as before, both pm 9th.

Wonder if there is a problem with Ceulan?

I was wondering that too Alan. Nothing since Sunday evening.

Mind you, they have been rather preoccupied with major events recently.

Not sure  if there is any significance or not in the GE update being late.

Yes of course Tiger. Makes sense not to update too often when they are settled. Just nice to know they are still ok.
