Update for Stan - no other updates on Roy's Birds as yet. Its quite incredible considering he only left Scotland on 12th September.
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Mary GK, thanks. Stan has made his first stop, not in UK, but in Spain! 1057 miles in just over 32 and a half hours non-stop. Will update after 9am, as I am not as energetic as Stan!!
WendyBartter said: Lake District 13 - If harm has come to 13 - Does this sound a case of exhaustion and lack of feeding - any views. Was 13 feeding and catching fish ??? Maybe it shows that mating with your mum is not a great idea!
Have I missed some vital info here?????
Which bit is news to you, Keith? Lake District Osprey Project reported on Friday that transmissions from 13's tag had been sporadic, and all from more or less the same place, for the past 10 days - which is, of course, cause for considerable concern :( He is in the mountains north of Valencia. Re 13's parentage: the new male at Bassenthwaite is white YV - fledged from the Bassenthwaite nest in 2007, and so a son of the original male and current female. I don't personally think that is necessarily a problem, but time will tell, especially if both return for the next few years. It could actually be an interesting test case. As, of course, could the other Lakes nest, where the pair are half-siblings (YV's nest-mate white YU, and their older half-brother green 5Y, from the previous year).

Ceulan is nearing the Senegal River, FB update
Loch Garten stats. and All the important links for LG.
moffer Thanks for the update. Interestingly Alba ignored the Senegal river and flew on.
Tiger Signature
I'm blowed if I can see the Welsh flag in Ceulan's FB pic. Other than that, I'm happy! ;-) Except if Lucky 13 has come to grief :'(
IMAGICAT
You are not alone Scylla - I enlarged to 200% and still couldnt see it, maybe I am looking at the wrong photo LOL...
It is in the top left hand corner of the photo in yesterday morning's post - takes up about half the space to the left of Ceulan's head. Look for the white top half with red dragon - the bottom half of the flag blends into the green background.
Ems evidently has too much time on his hands now the birds have gone!
Now I see it Rachel thanks, but I was looking at the wrong photo, I was looking at the tracking one LOL..... very clever of Ems....
Edit: That's what we get for NOT reading fully which photograph it was, I was back at Fridays LOL...
Quite a few updates, since I last looked, thanks folks.
Alba seems settled, and Caledonia too in Seville, but as has been said, she seems to be ranging outside, but seems to be roosting a lot in the docks, by the bridge. My google alerts which would be triggered by a report of sighting, have yeilded nothing, either in Spanish or English. Milano Negra * or (Milvus Migrans) has his/her photo beside Cally's last 13 Sep fix, on GE, some sort on water bird, looks as if it may be fishing like her. (See below I did some research!)
Ceulan doing nicely, soon he will be at River Senegal.
Stan, probably out of puff and hungry. But he did not stop at Spanish landfall, he went looking for fishing grounds I think.
I hope I have not missed any, I expect there will be more on Ceulan later.
EDIT: I just saw, moffer's post on Red8T in Morocco, I wll add him later. I have to do some furniture moving!!
* Black Kite, Black Kites will take small live prey as well as fish
