Good morning all and thanks for all the captures.  I was thrilled to log in and see Blue one the nest, first time in over a week.  Thought he might have set off already but guess it will be sometime towards the end of week.  Laddie still bringing in fish for him although they think he has probably fished for himself after being seen drying out his wings.

Gone again..

Oh he looks like he is doing some nest protecting rather than shouting on Dad for brunch. I can't think Laddie will have left. I thought male waited till juveniles had gone? Maybe swt will blog to let us know

He's just flown. I'll pop some slightly different ones in then. Cheers for now :-)

Thanks Starling for those captures,  Margobird glad you saw Blue44 today, Laddie last brought him a fish yesterday morning and not seen since... though Lewis had been coming to the nest on and off in the rain calling. so tough love has arrived... NO FISH... time you packed your bags and away with you! .... awful isn't it .. I just want to wrap him up in my arms keep him safe and feed him his favourite fish always... she says with tears strolling down and a lump in her throat... :((

There was something about his stance this morning that made me wonder if he was off fishing for himself.

Some do, some do not. Henry at Loch Garten never left the chicks and even came back a week later to check that they had gone.

Eric the LOTLs male until 2009 had a reputation for leaving the chicks.

Like most things it varies from male to male and year to year.
