Thought it would be good to start a thread just for placing great captures, photos and videos of our 2012 Chicks. This one taken by Scylla early this morning is certainly deserved of being in a special thread.
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Scylla's video of first viewing of Caledonia on 17th May when she was around 4 or 5 hours old (approx.)
First identifable capture of Caledonia after she was born on May 16th @ 11.30 pm taken by Lindybird
After trawling through the Daily Update pages this was Moffer's video of Alba hatching, it was when the screen was so pixilated (such a pity)
First identifyable capture of Alba by Birdsong. After she was born on May 18th @ 06.53 pm.
Thanks Mary for starting this thread, good idea as it will be easy to look back when they have departed. Must say scylla's shot of Alba and Caledonia just lovely and of course who could believe now how tiny they were just a short while ago.

Don't you mean Caledonia MARY - first hatched is Caledonia . I see two eggs in Birdsong's picture I'm sure
EDIT actually I have no idea what I am looking at. Please will someone help me out. Thanks
No Cirrus, that was the first identifyable photo I could find of Alba after she was born obviously Caledonia is in the photo too, she didnt just disappear so Alba could pose for the capture by herself LOL....
Yes the shells are still there Cirrus, but that photo included both chicks, the first capture of them both together..... its such a shame that the screen was so pixilated at that time that we couldnt get decent photos of the chicks. I wanted to include them anyway if only for a record of when they were born.
Moffers video of Caledonia's full blown lesson in nest building, or rather furniture moving.
Thank you MARY - that that explains everything :) and I'm appreciative
