I have always felt that we should have a thread for EJ as well as Odin.
My countdown clock says that we might expect her to swoop into Loch Garten 76 days from now. I hjope it has warmed up by then.

Well there is an exercise for today. How many osprey couples have lasted longer than six years.
You are right that the Glaslyn pair have now lasted eleven seasons.
It is now a mere 28 days until EJ should swoop down on the Loch Garten nest. Will she be carrying her dinner?
Thanks to Birdie Num Num here was EJ's arrival in 2014 on 24 March at 1.25pm
Thanks for that reminder of (hopefully) things to come in near future!
I am still totally in awe of all the amazing feats of endurance undertaken by magnificent birds who merely 'plop' onto nest carrying their lunch as if 3000+ mile journey a mere trifle!!

How time flies! Only 28 days, it's hard to believe we will all be guessing again. Good luck to one and all and to the winner.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
When EJ makes her usual graceful landing on the nest we're all winners.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
It was lovely to 'see' last year's arrival of EJ, thank you Tiger. It won't be long now! Will Odin be a few days earlier this year, or EJ later. Will we have a few days of worry! The anticipation is all very well and good, but Africa is a long way away and anything may have happened to them both while they overwintered. Each year I have more angst as I wait for their return!

The guessing game begins in five days time.

Yes there is a lot of angst at this time as we find out what has become of the ospreys over the winter. Not too long until we begin finding out.
