more people are needed to protect the ospreys as they are rare .the best way we can help is to raise money.
p.s help raise money by going onto the Rspb website for ospreys.
Happy birding!
Hallo GoldenEagle: Always a good reminder. Many of the bloggers on the site have donated to the latest drive to raise funds; in this case to help raise money for mains electrical power at Loch Garten, which currently works on generators I believe. Not sure if you saw the three chicks hatch and fledge at LG this year - it was wonderful, and we're all looking forward to the return of EJ and, hopefully, her stellar companion and provider of the 2009 season, Odin.
I'm in Annette ! I 'm just waiting for the dust to settle on finances and will donate early in the New Year.
Warmest wishes to you and yours this Christamas. And wishing all you bloggers a simply great Christmas without, hopefully, any stress.

As soon as my finances get up to a manageable level, I'm hoping to donate. Thanks for the reminder Goldeneagle788.

Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Hey Cirrus: Good to "see" you. My OH and I sat down before Christmas to figure out how much we were going to donate to various causes this year. It's a hard decision. We donate time to some during the year, but did sent some to LG, though not as much as I'd've liked. Hope Richard updates us on how the fundraising is going.
yes, i am with others. Some funds are slow coming through and we are waiting to get word of work which is due to be done in living room and family bathroom later this month Once that comes through I will know what I can donate to LG.
Does anyone know how fundraising is going please? I have been looking all around the site and forums but I can't seem to find anything very recent :0)
Richard Thaxton reported on the 19th it was £4330
Has anyone asked what will happen to the money collected if the project should not go ahead?

Hi Tiger, Richard said if enough money was not collected, the fund would be used on other projects. The same would be,if too much money was given. I can't remember exact wording but it is in his original appeal.
If the fund is up to £4K odd, that's over half way isn't it? I'm VERY happy to say, now that the dust has settled on my finances after Christmas I've managed to make my own donation. Just wish I could have given a round £1K. I wonder if anyone did. How marvellous that would be.
