Weekly Chat, Sunday, December 20 2009

Hi folks: Don't forget to check the last pages of the previous chat for links, comments, and all the usual twaddle.  :-)

  • LINDYBIRD    Reread that poem for the nth time.... you are so very clever.  Wonder if it is a hobby of yous?

  • patriciat       That is such a lovely picture of the dogs.

  • Yes... if you go to 'My Page' you can see I say it's a bit of a thing for me to 'dabble & doodle with words' - OH wants to know when I'm going to put it to good use & write that bestseller!! & no doubt keep him in the comfort to which he would like to become accustomed....

Tried not to get  carried away with the poem, as impossible to incorporate all the many many things we have touched on here on these threads, but that's what's made it so enjoyable, the variety & also the diversity of people & places we all come from.

Alan:  hope your robin is looking a bit brighter now, that's one dark picture!  We've had quite a variety of garden birds here today, they seem a little perkier now its not so darn cold.

Margobird:  So sorry to hear your cold is worse, what a shame- be kind to yourself,  & let your OH do some of the cooking tomorrow.

Dog went to sleep last night beside his beloved Master's side of the bed- with his head on the Christmas stocking I've already filled with sweeties & chocs. for Husband tomorrow!!  Didn't eat any of it in dead of night, so there must be a Christmas Elf or something looking over us...

  • Hi Tiger:    Isn't it a lovely seasonal pic of Tweed & Indy?  Is the weather bad your way?

  • Thank you Alan and hoping I will feel a little better tomorrow.  Even in the gloom the robin's breast is shining brightly.  Do take care on the roads, it is much better today after the mayhem of yesterday but has been raining again.  Have a good Christmas and Happy New Year.

  • Wattle thank you so much. That is lovely.

  • aquilareen  That is lovely. I like the idea of a picture within a picture. We got no grass like that here at the moment.

I have a friend who lives in Melbourne and has just texted me now. He celebrates Christmas on June 25 if you see the logic.

  • I agree that Tweed & Indy look great.

No the weather is fine. Most of the snow is gone after we rain and a thaw since yesterday.

  • Best Wishes to all the Friendly People here, have a great Christmas - haven't got around to finding a snowy pic for you all

Lindybird, that was a lovely poem. AQ, loved your robin :))) Are you back from MM now and into The Day?  patriciat, we have clever dogs here, all putting their own pics up!  OG home - the best place to be!  I'm so glad now that we decided not to travel to family in Buckinghamshire, or for anyone to come to us, would have been worrying about the travelling.
