Hi folks: Don't forget to check the last pages of the previous chat for links, comments, and all the usual twaddle. :-)
Tiger those are amazing pics, don't recognise half the birds, maybe because they are so close.
AQ - and what do your spiders play on the piano??? Individual puds sounds good, looking forward to recipe (haven't made your choc one yet...)
Gary - you do treat your barn cat well don't you, heated water bowl indeed. Our cats must drink a lot outside because when it's frozen I am constantly filling up the indoor bowl. I expect they'd like one with the chill taken off.
OG - I thought you said you were not posting today? But you couldn't resist they word association game, could you? ;))
To all travelling today or tomorrow, safe journey. It's sunny and white here today, so ice will melt and then freeze later and be even more smooth and slippery.

This is a very interesting site from South America concerning the sattelite tracking of peregrine falcons:

Another satellite tracking program. This time Cranes in Finland:

Oh dear! I got found out! Well spotted, Terry.
We have been postponing the decision whether to set out today - sunny here and resumed slow thaw (although the +6 forecast last night was at most -2!) But checked the M74 report - "hazardous". Will have to decide soon as we would want to get all the way in daylight.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Brenda H have a safe journey and take great care. Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year.
Margobird
patriciat glad I am not the only one who head bangs a lot of the time. Always got bruise somewhere on my head.
Morning aAlan thanks for the links, have so many "favourties" now it takes me ages to find things. Think I need to store them differently when I get time.
Have you got icy roads this morning, it is treacherous in most of Dorset with many multi-vehicle accidents caused by ice. Minus 4 overnight and started to rain at about 6 this morning and of course turned to ice immediately. Hard frtost forcast for tonight so will be the same again tomorrow. Take care and have a good day,
Morning original goldfich take care on your journey and have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Roads in Dorset this morning are terrible. Rain has fallen on top of the very hard frost and made roads and pavements like ice rinks.
Morning Lindybird loved the story just what I need. I have woken up with a very sore throat and cold. I am not lucky at Christmas as I usually go down with something every other year. No surprise really with the awful weather we are having. Have a good day.
Morning Gary had to laugh at your cat Pud. We used to have cat that liked drinking washing up water, no accounting for taste.
