Really must get going! Lovely photo from Alice with update on Rothes, tho Mallachie still AWOL. George: I like that idea of being taking out by family - same problem for us, but we usually end up with a couple of very nice bottles of wine, which is fine too. Heron: I'm ignoring impasse between computer and printer until I have more time. Lindybird: I find time flies by even when I'm not having fun. Alan: Lovely card - please tell very clever Hamish it's much appreciated. Really must get going now.
Margobird i remember one excuse from British Rail was leaves on the line..........don't we get leaves on the line every autumn..... it's pathetic....they say to use public transport, but it is no wonder we don't what with inefficiency and cost. Oops sorry' htis is meant to be happy fortnight!!!!!
ALAN we will be tackling Inverness Tesco on Wed and it will be a nightmare as we get people from Thurso and the Western Isles and will not want to be back between Xmas and the new year so I certainly expect to see people with multiple trolleys. anyway I get your point' I do feel guilty when I throw food out because I have overshopped.
Hello.Alan: Tell Hamish thanks for the lovely card.dibnlib: I remember the "leaves on the line" excuse very well. Do you remember when British Rail said they couldn't send the snow ploughs out because of "the wrong type of snow"?

ANNETTE what a great idea picking up food for homeless shelters. One of the things I don't like is the many 2 for the price of one offers. So many people live on their own and do not have friends or neighbours to share with.
Enjoyed Morse and they are repeats. I usually know as soon as they start who the murderer is but I love the interaction between them. And yes I do like Lewis and his sidekick too.
Just saw Mercedes the polar bear on TV having a great time in the snow. We have 6 or 7 inches here so probably more down the road where she is at Kingussie. She was bought to the UK as she was to be shot as she was becoming a nuisance looking for food in her native habitat, so while a wildlife park is not ideal at least she is still alive. She is the only polar bear in the UK......it was nice to see her so obviously enjoying herself. Kingussie is not far away so we must visit though as we have visited Kenya for safaris 3 times I find it difficult to see animals in captivity
GARY love the idea of a squeaky lobster, think I have seen them in a local petshop. I heard that our royals give each other cheap rubbish as gifts and the queen got a singing lobster from princess Anne which she keeps on her piano
me again....ANNETTE didn't you know you wear shoes on your head
