Well it has been one of those worrying days again. It started out fine with both Odin and EJ seemingly enjoying their reunion.
Then sometime during the morning it was noticed that EJ was no longer on the nest. This was not worrying to begin with but as the hours passed it certainly concerned the viewers on here.
The weather at Loch Garten has been generally foul today and has become even worse tonight with snow falling.
So is there a problem or not? Personally I do not think so as ospreys have been known to go walkies before (well maybe they flying equivalent of walkies whatever that is).
In 2005 EJ went AWOL for a whole nine days. It was thought that she was sulking because Henry had smashed her eggs.
I guess viewers will be tuning in at first light to see if she has returned.
Anyway I think it is a bit too early to panic!

Birdies LG DU update.
Morning all. Thanks to the early birds for posting pics before the cams went off again.
No osprey in it's right mind is going to bother with the nest while it's like that! Hope they have both found shelter, and had fed well before the weather turned nasty - it isn't going to be easy fishing in these conditions.
Morning everybody, what a difference a week makes, poor birds must have thought it was summer, and now this I live in Sheffield, and it was very cold yesterday and it's raining here now but don't think we will get any snow.
I do hope someone will be able to let us know if they see EJ, but if she's any sense well both of them I assume will go for a sheltered spot .
The more you rush, the longer it takes
Hi Ellie, I live just over the Snake Pass, not far from you

Won't play spot the nest now as at time of posting all cams down. From whiteout to blackout in a few hours :o
Lets hope the weather moves on soon.
