Well it has been one of those worrying days again. It started out fine with both Odin and EJ seemingly enjoying their reunion.
Then sometime during the morning it was noticed that EJ was no longer on the nest. This was not worrying to begin with but as the hours passed it certainly concerned the viewers on here.
The weather at Loch Garten has been generally foul today and has become even worse tonight with snow falling.
So is there a problem or not? Personally I do not think so as ospreys have been known to go walkies before (well maybe they flying equivalent of walkies whatever that is).
In 2005 EJ went AWOL for a whole nine days. It was thought that she was sulking because Henry had smashed her eggs.
I guess viewers will be tuning in at first light to see if she has returned.
Anyway I think it is a bit too early to panic!

Beautifull morning here. Poor birds. Praying EJ and all wildlife in the affected areas are safe. What a shock for them and what a difference a week makes.
Morning all
I keep thinking of Watership Down this morning and thinking of Hazel the rabbit in Watership down. Perhaps EJ had a dream that the snow was on its way and decided to do a reverse migration for a little while.
There's a bit of sound on the live camera so at least its still working if buried under snow
Oh I do hope she is okay. I hope if the centre see her they will post. Odin out and about earlier or at least we could hear a male. Would he be so calm if she had disappeared, he sat very quietly in the tree snoozing and he must have done something with that fish yesterday.
Just popping back in to say that I let them know about the cam situation on the main blog. Richard has replied saying that they are working on it. So nice of him to keep us in the loop.

Heavy snow here in Highlands AND POWER CUT so don't hope for too much today. Wonder if centre still has its generator?

Well done and thank you MOFFER.

All cameras working. The lens on the wide is still cover in snow so can't see through it l

I can't see any tracks in the snow in the nest so no one has visited it to see how deep the snow is
Definitely no visitors to the nest so far this morning :-/ And can you blame them?
