Hi everyone. If you didn't check the last few pages of the previous week, it was very busy. I'm going to catch up all the latest posts after dinner.
Morning Alan glad Lady P eventually arrived safely must have been a bit worrying for her.
Bitterly cold here this morning the wind nearly cuts you in two. Went and did the last of present shopping and while I was out there were some snow flurries. It looks as though our trip to London to meet OH's Mum is off as she has had about 8 inches of snow and trains and buses not running at all well. More heavy snow foecast for the South East tonight and we wouldn't want her out on slippery pavements. She isd a very young 80 but nevertheless we don't want any broken bones.
Your garden looks lovely in the snow. Take care and I guess Thunderbird will not want to go out toeday.
Margobird
Would be good if he did do a calendar I just love looking at his marvellous photos. Visit his site daily.
Diane everytime I read about birds being shot I ask myself why. It upsets me so much. Hope you are OK.
Tiger thanks for that link and maybe just maybe EJ and hopefully Odin will arrive early. Getting quite excited thinking about it.
DEon't know why I haven't thought of it before but yesterday just before dark I emptied the bird baths and then filled them again early this morning before it got light. I put luke warm water in them as it is still freezing here and as yet they have not iced over again.
Tiger thanks for the link and the book details. Have to say I would feel highly honoured to have these two beautiful birds in such close proximity.
Sun actually shining at the moment, but about 5 inches of snow and still 0c. More snow to come later. Don't think we will be moving today
Tiger, thanks for Pale Male links. There was a lot more detail than I already knew about the whole sorry saga.
Still snowing here on TI
Is this a Goshawk on the Store Mosse site:
The whooper swan blog has been updated. There is no end of things happened to their tags including antenna missing and straps chewed through.

Oh dear. Still half asleep; just clicked on wrong window and lost my less-than-compelling comments. Alan: Don't like flying in any weather; good that Lady P now safely home. Pretty snow photo - even nicer looking at it from here! Tiger/Chloe: Didn't know Lincoln did calendar or book. Margobird: Safer to stay home in that weather; don't want you and OH's Mom rainbow-hued for the holidays!
Sunny with high thin clouds and contrails of northbound jets streaking across a pale blue sky. Fat, bossy morning dove sitting IN feeder so only little birds can share feast; this is the second day I've seen him/her do this - must have a chat re good manners Stay safe everyone with snow/ice on the ground.
