Hi everyone. If you didn't check the last few pages of the previous week, it was very busy. I'm going to catch up all the latest posts after dinner.
Margobird: The Thunderdog is not impressed by the snow especially when his coat is long as it all sticks to it and he ends up like a giant snowball.
There is an osprey on the Florida cam now:

Just watching the poor people left stranded and those who have lost their jobs with Globespan. The report is coming from Glasgow Airport. So often these things happen at Christmas.
Went to supermarket earlier and found it packed as everyone seemed to be anticipating the heavy snow for today and tomorrow. It hasn't reached here yet.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7E-47VmFopEHeard this on the radio this morning and loved it. The Christmas Can Can!
Tried again and working OK. Good site another one to watch.

Aunite, great news on the book:) Enjoy.
Alan, stay warm and hope it doesn't snow too hard.
Brenda, I saw that as well. Never a good time, but this time of year seems particularly awful for things like this to happen.
DjoanS – Glad you had a good day in York – now that is a comfortable city - not too big! Used to live near there for a couple of years, then daughter lived there much later. Did you have tea at Betty’s? Loved the bathing Starlings!
Tiger – I would guess the Eagle won – he was just so close. The Tiger’s watching expression is great. I think I would have adjusted the picture a little - a bit too dark for me – but maybe digital enhancement was not allowed! Great pics of Pale Male and Lola too – and the various other creatures.
Auntie – so pleased your book arrived – enjoy!!!
Alan – thanks for link to German Storks – I notice a link there to other web cams in Germany too – could spend all day here watching!!!
Gary - enjoyed Christmas Can-Can, thank you – have forwarded it to our son!
No snow here - yet!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Gary, Christmas Can-Can was well worth watching. I even watched the 'cartoon' version. Thanks.
OG - I love York too, so easy to walk around - and its a nice day trip from here. Didn't have tea at Betty's ... but had lunch at Little Betty's!
Joan - avid bird and nature watcher in Northumberland!

The snow arrived in Fife today got caught in heavy shower when out getting haircut and ordering steak pie for New Years day at butchers. Been having showers of snow and hail nearly all day and snow is lying on grass and paths. Not so many birds in the garden today mostly just blackbirds haven't seen any starlings today but a magpie appeared today and I've never seen it before.
Hope every one on the east side of the country keeps warm as the forecast is for that side of the country to be the one that is going to be worst hit.

Mini snow-shower here (Solway coast) for about five minutes - clouds look as if we shall get a few more of these short flurries for a while. Don't often get lying snow here.
