Hi everyone. If you didn't check the last few pages of the previous week, it was very busy. I'm going to catch up all the latest posts after dinner.
jsb – that cat will wish he’d stayed unfound – Portsmouth will be very cold tonight and tomorrow according to the lunchtime forecast!
Gary – thanks! I’m doing fine – probably spending more time on here, but I’ve tidied up, had some lunch and pacing myself to do a few small tasks this afternoon.
Tiger – there isn’t even a picture of Ollie in Roy Dennis’s book – unless it’s one without a caption.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Tiger : You are correct 32(05) did manage to win the unringed female from 5R whose territory was in Manton Bay.
jsb: just watched the program on Thunderbirds and it was FAB. Great clips from Supercar,Fireball XL5,Stingray,Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons and Joe 90.
Perhaps we should have some new TV programmes eg:
Strictly Thunderbirds
The FAB Factor
Thunderbirds have got Talent
I'm a Thunderbird get me out of here
FAB

Alan, LOVE the new programmes, very funny. You could make a fortune, like Simon...
OG, make sure you pace yourself, as you say
Tiger, thanks for the reminder about the eagle cam. I really enjoy that one and will get back to watching it now:)

Yes it is frightening how fast it comes around. The birds are looking all romantic already. See http://www.friendsofblackwater.org/images/eagle_new6.jpg

Just visited WildCam Africa - there's a poor old gnu (I think) limping along with a very lame back foot :~(

Hello original goldfinnch just back in after having lunch with someone I used to work with. Had a Christmas dinner and very nice it was too.
I was born in Woking in Surrey but lived most of my life until we moved down here over 20 years ago near to Croydon which is on the outskirts of London. We do go up a fair bit to see shows and also to meet family who are spread around the London area. I would never go back as it is too dirty, noisy and too crowded for me. Dorset is a beautful county and we don't have to go far before we are in the most glorious countryside and I feel very lucky to be living here.

Good afternoon to each and everyone! Still cold here, this morning -19C and now about -15C, it was -23,3 the night before. Well, good thing is that the ground will freeze so the snow will stay.
Caerann; lovely to see you again
aquilareen: I wouldn`t mind for you to bring some warmth here
OG & BrendaH: about my knee: it healed somewhat ok, as it doesn`t ache or anything, but it is a little "shaky" and can`t be fully trusted in stairs or on a steep ground.
