Weekly Chat, Sunday December 13, 2009

Hi everyone. If you didn't check the last few pages of the previous week, it was very busy. I'm going to catch up all the latest posts after dinner.

Careful. Someone is likely to spank you for a remark like that!

    Hmmm...best watch what we say...or not :)

  • Hi, folks.  Have spent AGES reading all the posts!  Maureen, so sorry about your illness.  I'll pray for you and send positive thoughts.  Know all your friends on this chat site will be doing the same.

Tiger: Is there anything you don't know about?  You seem to fit the description of a polymath!  I'm filled with admiration and will try to look at all the sites you have suggested.

Couldn't even read posts yesterday as I was taking part in a dog agility competition run by the training group I belong to.  It takes palce one Saturday each month from November to April - we're all raving mad!  For my sins, I look after the paperwork and yesterday had to look after the scoring also (with help from others) so had to check everything when I came home.  For those who are doggy people, Tweed came home with to rosettes - really pleased with him.  He's handicapped by his unathletic handler!  My other competing dog (Fly - picture later) injured her leg and had to retire for the day - seems OK now.

Thanks to all for pictures and other info.

  • Oh patricaciat I know nothing about most things. However I got this friend called Google and with the right searching technique he tells me the answers. Just now I was wondering what polymath meant and he explained it. Thank you :)

Maybe a good thump then. Too many people might enjoy a spanking :)

  • Hello everyone, we've had a lovely sunny day today, at about zero degrees. Did our exercise by bike but had to be careful on the slushy icy patches. Put up loads of fieldfares from the hedges.

Maureen/HilaryH - hugs and positive thoughts to you.

Gary - are you trying to get GeorgeG into trouble? I think Annette's chef would be a better kitchen present.

Tiger - I didn't spot a golfing joke, so are you THE Tiger then?  ;))

I didn't see Strictly Come Dancing last night as we had our choir concert. I don't know any of the "celebrities" but still like watching it.

  • Forgot to say, Astronomy picture of the day yesterday was of the Geminid meteor shower, so I will be out later tonight in very warm clothes (and all my coats) looking for them. But I might not stay very long...
