I guess that Blue XD is now set to be part of Loch Garten History. He deserves a page by himself.
Do people have data on his exact arrival time and some videos and pictures.
There has been a blog regarding him here on 28 Mar 2012 5:56 PM
There is still confusion as to his identity but he is said to be the long term partner of Green J or otherwise known as S06
So Blue/White XD may be S18 but there are certain problems with that.
S06 and S18 also parented a chick translocated to Rutland viz. T04
I wrote about Green J here on 3 March 2012
Tiger Signature
Good to be making a start on our stats :)

Blue XD is blown off course
All the updates at Highland Foundation for Wildlife
What an amazing bird. Over the Pyrenees at 11,522 feet.
See update for Blue XD
Well he may well be 720 feet above sea level on the Loch Garten Nest if Odin is late and assuming Green J is still in Spain. Now that would be interesting to watch again.

Not much lower that the height I parachuted from in 2004! Would love to have seen an Osprey in flight as I was on my way down

You done a parachute jump? Have you heard my parachuting stories?
We did have A chat about it some time ago TIGER but I'm always up for seconds. :)

This is not the right thread for it but I did relate a story here
The memory of parachuting in the hills above Glenrothes always give me a nice feeling.

Didn't Bynack cross the Pyrenees around there on his migration south?

Well the short answer is I do not know but Bynack was one of the few juveniles that followed an easterly route. Indeed some people think that he hitched a lift on the Rosyth to Zeebrugge ferry but there is no hard evidence to confirm that.
