See that Annette has been too busy perhaps, to start a new week, so I'm doing the honours. Rather wet in this part of the world this morning, so doing lots of tidying & Christmas preparing stuff.
Tick, tick, tick, tick,..tick!!
Alan: It tickled me that it was so precise! I imagined EJ flapping like crazy knowing she was 30 seconds late. It will be interesting to see how close you get.
Sandy : Sometimes you have to put your money where your mouth is. I guess my neck is on the line on this one.
I have been trying for ages to photograph the New Holland honeyeaters that visit our back yard. They flit and dash and disappear so quickly. I have lots of photos of birdless fence LOL. They love flying through the abelia bush, but then they are invisible. In the olden days, before water restrictions, they would come in large numbers to dash through the sprinkler waterdrops in the abelia, chattering loudly.
One evening they were chasing insects on the lawn and I managed to snap one. (OK the lawn needs mowing. . .)
Your Honeyeaters are pretty, AQ! Well done to capture them at last.
Enjoyed reading about your bits of history, too.

Alan: I do all too often, and my bookmaker is a wealthy man because of it! Seriously though, I have no idea how to set up a clock on the pc but if you could let me know I'm up for having a stab at it.
OQ, great pictures:)
Tiger – I have just made Astronomy Picture of the Day my homepage. I read a lot about astronomy when I was young but I’m probably way out of date now. If we’d had t’internet back then (1965-70) it would have been even more inspiring. I posted this link a little while ago, before your return.

For seeing where it is dark/light.
Perhaps Annette should put the countdown into the title every week??? ;)) (Sorry Annette, don’t mean to give you more jobs to do!)
AQ – you say the lawn needs mowing...I was worried that my cat pic showed the state of the floor in front of the fridge, and all so much bigger than the thumbnail I was looking at! What a lovely bird.
Auntie - that link is broken for me too.

Oh that is great Terry. Your not the first person to make APOD (astronomy picture of the day) your home page.
Oh that graphic of the terminator is a must for webcam watchers. I have been using a few different ones over the years. However the one that combines this with webcams around the world does not seem to be working just now.
I like the idea of incorporating the countdown into the title. It would be quite a challenge though.

Gary: No mystery re Target music policy; it's just that I can't stand piped-in "jolly-spend-spend-spend" music and Target is so quiet compared to some stores! Maybe I should run for city council on a Wot-No-Target platform? I assume you bought the treat for the Great Dane so you could make your getaway while he was distracted? OG: I love those late summer evenings in the northern climes - couldn't get over how early the sun came up in Loch Garten last year. What's your January project going to be? AQ: This is a pretty big storm by any standards - extended across much of the country at one point with "lake effect snow" from Lake Ontario reaching the state of Maine (according to the evening news). Pretty honeyeater! Sandy/Alan: Maybe we should place bets on when EJ will show up? TerryM/Alan: I'm happy to include the countdown info as long as Alan tells me what it'll be each Sunday (and of course as long as I remember to start the thread!) :-)
Nice rain this afternoon; more to come. Hummingbird feeders filled and regular bird feeder filled and moved under the patio umbrella so seed stays dry. Have a nice Friday folks.
