This Topic has been set up to follow the Spring 2012 migration, and summer activities, of satellite tracked ospreys, excluding Rothes and Tore from Loch Garten, who are followed on this thread.
It replaces this earlier thread, Satellite Tracked Ospreys (non-LG) Aug 2011 - Feb 2012.
Roys blog
Roy D has started reporting updates on Facebook
Roy Dennis has reported on Facebook that he has tagged one of Morven's 2012 chicks, whom he has named Stan, so presumably a male. Roy plans to start reporting updates when Stan starts migrating.

Beatrice making good progress

I bought a pot plant in Pons last month, after visiting the Sturgeon Farm in the morning. They are about a half hour's drive apart.

Sat track schedule Spring 2014
LG 7 days; RW & SWT nil; LDOP varies
Some news from Urmas re sat tagged ospreys. Erika has aready started on migration:
"Checked also tracks of Piret - she is preparing for migration, fishing for herself on lake about 20km of nest. Today she was near nest around noon, during an hour. Other female Osprey we follow for sixth year, Erika, she already started migration, as well as many of female Ospreys in Estonia probably. Piret will inserted to migration map after her departure as quickly as can (lot of tasks to complete after being away). Male tagged Osprey fishes for his chicks and mate and will probably migrate quite late, as the chicks there were smaller as of Piret and Madis"l
Alan: It looks as if Beatrice in or near Pons has been sighted.....I have just spotted this on Faune-Charente-Maritime site. (Unless they are just going by what RD has reported....but they do report Pons town centre!)
EDIT: Sorry about the weird formatting.
JSB : Thanks for that. I agree that it is not clear if it is an actual sighting or if they are just going by Roys data.
