Kawartha Lakes osprey 54706 has not returned to Canada yet. latest fix 16th May:
Swedish osprey 19153 has left the Sine Saloum delta and latest position is in the Western Sahara , no update on 49460 since 6th May so it looks like there may be a problem there.

Tempo there is no update on Roy D's site on Nimrod since he reported the loss of the transmitter ariel last summer. when it was also reported that Nimrod appeared to have formed a bond with a new female. Roy's last blog gave updates on some of the nests he monitored but not on Nimrod's, so I don't think we know if they have both made it back from migration.

I dont mind helping with this, but what I would expect in return is a quicker report on the data recieved. Sometimes I think the sat data is kept a little bit secret and certainly delayed. For example, whats the latest on Tore

Cooky this request for funding of satellite trackers is not for tracking the RSPB birds from Loch Garten - there is a separate request for this. Tracking the RSPB birds data (e.g. for Tore) can be done on Google Earth - instructions here The tags only download data every few days - typically between three and six - this varies with the time of year - downloads are less frequent when the birds are not moving around much, such as when they are in Africa. This is necessary to minimise battery size. Data for the satellite tracked birds from Rutland Water can also be seen on Google Earth.
The request in Alan's post comes from Roy Dennis whose web-site is here . Roy tracks chicks (funded by his foundation) from various nests in the Highlands. He also physically puts the trackers on most of the birds at other sites such as LG and Rutland Water as he is about the only person licensed to do so!
Its important to remember that tracking data relating to nest locations is not published in detail for nests which are not protected in the way that LG is. Roy typically puts out data on his web-site, but is not specific about exactly where the nests are due to the risk of egg-collectors. Hope this helps.
