This Topic has been set up to follow the Spring 2012 migration, and summer activities, of satellite tracked ospreys, excluding Rothes and Tore from Loch Garten, who are followed on this thread.

He is now on a more regulary used direct route across the desert instead of the long way round by the coast so he should be ok.
Swedish osprey 19153 still at the Sine Saloum delta in Senegal. Here is the latest position and spring movements since 3rd March 2012:

Swedish osprey 49460 left Lac de Buyo on 8th April and after what looked like a horrendous desert crossing is now in Western Sahara heading up the coast towards Morocco:
Tiger : 19153 and 49460 are both juveniles and both due to move this year.
Swedish osprey 57375 left his wintering place on the coast of Western Sahara on 8th April and is now in Southern Spain:
