This Topic has been set up to follow the Spring 2012 migration, and summer activities, of satellite tracked ospreys, excluding Rothes and Tore from Loch Garten, who are followed on this thread.
It replaces this earlier thread, Satellite Tracked Ospreys (non-LG) Aug 2011 - Feb 2012.
Alan - I cannot access Facebook - when the blog comes up on their site can you post a link please? I have to say I dont like Dulus where he is near Nimrod's ground and no word of Nimrod. Or am I being a pessimist?
Tempo : I will post as soon as I know anything more. It has certainly got me intrigued. I think Dulas is in a good area. Nimrod has spent many winters there so it must be fairly safe. I was more worried when he goes NE of Quebo where Spey went missing last year.
Thanks Alan - I hope its good news on Leri and I hope Nimrod is still ok but just not been sighted.

Nimrod there is a question about tracking to be answered. I hope he he is ok but question about backpacks and ariels. Has Nimrod got a tracker that works and if not is he still carrying anything?
Not for here but people have been talking here and would like an answer? I hope Nimrod makes it back
Sorry but I just need an answer

Latest on Nimrod is here.
To summarise - data stopped arriving from his transmitter end June last year. A few weeks later he was seen with the transmitter still in place but the ariel broken which explained the loss of data. He has not been seen yet this year.
Very interesting reading AG. Noticed that it was over 4 years from ringing before he was sighted back in Scotland, lets hope that he is OK and that he will be seen again before migration time this year.

AG thank you and I was only interested to see if any signals as I do not know much about Nimrod and a have seen a lot talk of him with fondness.
I did read he was tracked but could not find anything else and not seen tracking reports so was curious. Thank you.
Hopefully he is ok and it does prove that it is possible for a tracker to stop working and an Osprey OK. Hope for others :) Lets hope he is ok

Vespa I have an idea but it will not be welcome.
I hope and hope Leri is ok but the deleting makes me wonder if my theory was right and sincerely hope not.
The best news ever would be if Leri is ok and hope so very much.
Vespa what do you and others think and a lot of questions? and the best news ever would be Leri is ok.
I will not get involved so away. I have said before. Goodnight all and not going to discuss again. I do mean it.
