This Topic has been set up to follow the Spring 2012 migration, and summer activities, of satellite tracked ospreys, excluding Rothes and Tore from Loch Garten, who are followed on this thread.
It replaces this earlier thread, Satellite Tracked Ospreys (non-LG) Aug 2011 - Feb 2012.

WOW WOW WOW. Rothiemurchus is one of my fav ospreys.
Tiger Signature
This is great news to hear that Morven is at her nest near Forres and good for Roy this week after the loss of Ozwald. He will be happier now also knowing Green J is back with Blue XD - all these his favourites.
We wish Rothiemurchus a safe journey home and it will be interesting what he may do this year - will he build a nest or get a mate - I imagine all the lonely ladies in the nests on their own have found new fellas by the time he gets back.
I am guessing but I do not expect him to breed as a 3YO male but try to establish himself.
Thank you for the alert Sue C- now we await to see what 12 does and hopefully on the other thread receive some good news on Rothes in the near future.
Fantastic news about Rothiemurchus. At last!

Erika reached her nest site in northern Estonia on 14th April, having set out from her wintering site in Sudan on 29th Feb. She spent 25 days at her usual stopover in the Nile Delta.
Update on Roy D's site about Rothiemurchus progress
"15 April 2012
A bit of a dogleg today, first of all NW towards Nouackatt in Maurtitania and then in afternoon heading NE into the Sahara Desert and by dusk roosting south of the Akjoult highway after flying 250 km"
Wishing him a safe journey - this is the guy who likes long flights over water - am I correct?
