Sandy, Just read that. What a brilliant bird. It will be interesting to see his complete route.
It appears he was not happy with the lack of food for 4 days on his fall migration over the desert so now he is flying closer to his food source. Smart bird!

Alan - If you look at "Previous two weeks" and zoom in, she is on the move - as at 15th March, about 550 miles WNW of her wintering site.
SueC : Thanks for that. I did notice the movement but did not realise the scale of it. I was also expecting a more northerly direction but it does look like 54706 is on his way.
